Larva of Phoronis psammophila Cori, 1889
20 Plan Apo / 60x Plan Fluor / 100x Plan Fluor. DIC / Polarization / Phase Contrast. Sampled in Bay of Santander. June, 17th 2017.
The morphological characters of this specimen of actinotroca larva coincide with the description of Actinotroca sabatieri, which has been described as the larva of Phoronis psammophila, but to verify the correlation of their identity a comparative analysis of sequences of DNA between larvae and adult specimens would be required.
